I have been hearing about Blue Bottle Coffee in the YouTube space for quite some time. Even my aunt, who is already 40+ years old, is a fan! So, I was so excited to try out Blue Bottle Coffee when I finally visited New York.

P.S. I’m not a coffee connoisseur; I’m just really into coffee and coffee shops. So, as a coffee-loving person, here is my review for Blue Bottle Coffee.

Ambiance and Interior

Soho Branch (8/10)

I visited the Soho Blue Bottle Branch, and the ambiance was pretty chill — a mix of the ‘I can talk to you while I pretend to also work but I don’t really get anything done type of vibe.’ Despite the vibe, I kinda got some work done, but since I was alone, social media was my only company.

They also share a building with a hotel, and the restroom is on the hotel side. It’s pretty snazzy, although you do need to order something to even get into the bathroom.

Rockefeller Branch (6/10)

Listen, it’s low-key because it’s just like any other store in Rockefeller – plain and simple. It is clean, though. It’s like I’m dining in a clean McDonald’s. But they still have a pretty cool bar. Also, I would like to note that it does give off a ‘get your coffee and go’ type of vibe.

Coffee Taste

I just want to put it out there that taste is objective, and again not a coffee pro so don’t come for me.

New Orleans Iced Nola Coffee (8.5/10)

It’s the first coffee of theirs that I’ve ever tasted. It was very interesting for me because it’s not what I expected. It’s a good kind of interesting, though, not at all bad. It was cold brew, and it kinda doesn’t feel like coffee. It has that smoothness to it and interesting notes of coffee that I can’t describe. It’s good; that’s all I can say.

Would I order it again? Yes. I was kinda tempted to buy a bottle of this cold brew.

Caffe Latte (5/10)

Lol, sadly, I didn’t order New Orleans Coffee again because I just wanted to try something new. Lol. I’m just laughing at myself, but there’s no way to compare with other coffee shops if I haven’t ordered the staple iced latte. Sadly, it was a bit acidic for me. It was okay, I guess…

Conclusion

Is it overhyped? Kind of… but maybe I should try more. I will update this blog if I get to try new coffee in Blue Bottle or maybe I just had a bad batch for the cafe latte.
